Automaton Engineer

  • Conceive, plan, and implement industrial and business automation systems that integrate cyber-physical systems resulting in smart factory solutions
  • Design, plan, source and implement automation solutions, including wide area data collection systems, PLC’s, and robotics
  • Develop business automation solutions that empower employees to work at higher levels of efficiencies and higher quality results
  • Conduct root cause analyses of labor and/or process inefficiencies through operational data analysis, Pareto charts, process reviews, time studies, statistics reviews, simulation, and discussions with operational leadership
  • Identify key changes to existing automation and IT solutions, and partner with IT team to find solutions
  • Develop processes and procedures for human interface functionality with automation equipment, along with supporting validation techniques and metrics to ensure successful project completion
  • Perform periodic maintenance and analysis on existing systems to ensure continuous up-time and provide meaningful updates as needed

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering with a focus in Robotics/Automation Engineering
  • Experience with PLC and HMI programming capabilities such as Siemen’s controllers or other industrial logic controllers
  • Solid knowledge of project management principles with ability to use discernment within defined practices and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability as a collaborative, innovative and strategic thinker who is decisive and results-oriented
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and time demands with a high level of urgency, personal integrity, energy, and stamina
  • A responsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors, and the general public
  • Understanding of basic software development and database management techniques and best practices
  • Exhibit strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability when presented with complex and uncommon issues
For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $95000 to $110000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors.  For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 104 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
