Position Summary

As a Senior Part Engineer you will be a senior leader in a dynamic technical team driving manufacturing efficiency and productivity in a plant environment. You will apply knowledge from significant and successful engineering-based practices and experiences to technical projects while and discovering innovative and cost-effective means to improve safety, quality, and delivery.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Primary duties include planning, developing, evaluating, and conducting current state analysis and leading the implementation of technical projects towards future state objectives.

 

Problem Solving

  • You will be responsible to develop and implement solutions to a wide range variety of problems using logical and analytical engineering techniques.
  • Your solutions should be incorporated to enhance best practices.

Communication:

  • You will frequently collaborate and communication with various levels of the organization including production employees, supervisors, peers and subject matter experts.
  • You will be the direct point of connection for customers contact, input and discussion of issues.
  • You will present to internal, external and division stakeholders on various topics reports complex in nature.

Leadership:

  • You will proactively form and regularly lead cross functional teams, which could include customers and vendors.
  • You are a resource for other engineers and site leadership.

Autonomy

  • You will independently understand and plan work from a long-term perspective.
  • You will demonstrate good judgement in setting schedules and taking risks.

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technical Science field
  • 7 years of experience in engineering in a manufacturing environment

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • Demonstrate a high degree of objectivity and integrity in the evaluation of people and problems

Desired Skills:

  • General knowledge of materials science engineering manufacturing processes and investment casting technology.
