Location Profile:

Position Summary:
This position is on 2nd Shift Monday-Friday.
Material Handlers usually drive forklifts, parts movers, and use electric pallet movers. Forklift duties may include loading/unloading semi-trucks, stocking raw materials, moving material to and from machines/operations. Other duties include picking and kitting materials and supporting inventory audits. Level one may also be responsible for handling the transport of revert, i.e. chips and drops. In order to maintain inventory and traceability, material lot information and transaction accuracy in the relevant MRP system, basic computer skills and knowledge of inventory processes may be required.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Contacts departments by mail, phone, or visit to verify movement of goods on specified date.
- Communicates/collaborates with drivers to preclude delays in transit.
- Arranges for distribution of materials upon arrival.
- Contacts appropriate departments to requisition materials, pieces, assemblies etc., necessary to meet on-time production.
- Moves product between departments using carts or dollies.

Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Computer Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer use. Applicant should be familiar with Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements:

Required Experience:
- A minimum of at least 6 months to 1 year experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry or related field.
Level of Education:
- High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
