SUMMARY:

Manage the air and water quality programs including annual emission inventory reports, Title V quarterly reports, Compliance Certification, stack testing requirements and NPDES testing requirements.  Ensure regulatory compliance with USEPA, EPA, DOT, LEPC and WVDH.  Conduct environmental sampling and analytical testing, interface with regulatory agencies, administers hazardous waste disposal and reporting requirements, site-management of the hazardous waste activities, directs CAA reporting and tracking responsibilities, oversees WWTP operations, procedures and update management staff on proposed regulatory changes and requirements.  Coordinate responses to releases of substances to land, water or air, including all reporting to regulatory agencies.  Ensure appropriate training programs are in place for each regulatory program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Supervise the WWTP operations.
Ensure regulatory compliance.
Direct Title V activities
Conduct NPDES reporting
Conduct RCRA reporting
Interfacing with regulatory community
Educate and assist plant personnel
Develop environmental policies
Interact with Maintenance and Engineering regularly
Conduct training for regulatory programs

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


Oversee new and existing environmental facilities.
Manage wastewater streams.
Develop and encourage “Green/Recycling” initiatives.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree with 5-10 years' experience. Requires appreciable judgment and ingenuity.  Generally, works on assignments of moderate complexity and scope.  Duties may be varied and somewhat difficult in nature under minimal supervision.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Knowledge of company and departmental policies and procedures
Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, employees and management.
Knowledge of MS Office (Project, Excel, Access, Word, Power Point)
Minimal local travel required (10% or more)
Knowledge and training in product manufacturing
Above average interpersonal skills
Above average written and oral communication skills
