RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Maintaining and operating vacuum casting furnace as required to produce quality castings.
  • Must perform all routine furnace maintenance functions.
  • Meet the specific requirements of the efficiency standards as established.
  • Record all work performed and all necessary information on logs as prescribed on Standard Operating Procedure Requirements (SOP).
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Keep work area in a clean, orderly, and safe working condition and follow all safety rules.
  • All training requirements must be met to be deemed a fully trained Vacuum Cast Technician I.
  • Comply with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by supervision.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Mechanical aptitude a must.
  • Previous foundry experience a plus.
  • Must be able to demonstrate good communication skills.
  • Teamwork essential.
  • Maintenance experience beneficial.
  • Must have recent Foundry Utility certification.
  • No Attendance warnings within the last year.
  • No written Quality warnings within the last year.
  • Demonstrate proficiency of applicable procedure instructions.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Meet or exceed defined Visual Acuity (when required).
  • Meet color perception standards needed in performance of job requirements (when required).
  • Additional training to comply with applicable SOP/Certifications (when required).
  • Must be willing to work on an off workweek.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).
