ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, must exercise knowledge to perform a variety of job duties relating to the proficient support to production sites including but not limited to:
- Reviews work orders and determines electrical modifications per specifications.
- Inspects new parts to determine if it meets work order specifications
- Understands and can program PLC systems, read ladder diagrams, factory manuals and schematics
- Ensures any wiring of new and rebuilt equipment complies with National Electrical Code and OSHA regulations.
- Provide assistance to interdepartmental personnel, machinists, re-builders and mechanics.
- Performs preventative maintenance and maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Complies with all environmental safe practices and regulations. Reads all MSDS’ and possesses thorough knowledge of all oil and chemical labeling and storage requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
- In addition to the above, Mechanics are to maintain an organized, clean and safe work area using safety standards and expectations while adhering to all quality practices.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED, and a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic math, some algebra, understanding of vectors,-lag of current behind voltage.
- Blueprint reading-schematics, ladder diagrams.
- Use Allen Brady SLK 500, Microview Programming.
- Inspection-visual. Maintain filing system-work orders.
- Maintain logs-work orders Proofread documents-occasional memos regarding electrical Research information-electrical, NEC, products to update.
