Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team in the aerospace sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in aerospace component production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Development:
- Design, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes for aerospace components.
- Develop process documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and tooling specifications.
- Analyze production workflows and identify areas for efficiency improvements.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
- Work closely with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and monitor quality control measures.
- Identify and resolve manufacturing issues, including equipment malfunctions and process inefficiencies.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Lead projects focused on process improvements and cost reductions.
- Prepare and present project updates to management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within the aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
