Primary Responsibilities

  • Work safely. Adhere to all company and regulatory EH&S policies and procedures.
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
  • Maintains employer log of absenteeism and communicates any disciplinary action due.
  • Assists with documentation preparation.
  • Tracks and communicate review cycle for hourly employees.
  • Supports 6S activities to include standardization of files, document retention, and document maintenance in HR area.
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
  • Prepares new-employee files.
  • Assists in tracking time & attendance for hourly work force.
  • Assists with the administration and application of company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains company bulletin boards – post announcements, bids, etc
  • Assists in the management of workers’ compensation claims including related services such as disability management, claims processing, and loss prevention.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Education and Experience

 

Studies in Human Resource Management, Business, or a related field of study and a High School Diploma. 

 

 

Other Qualifications

 

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees within the organization.
  • Effectively demonstrate good judgment
  • Must be capable of accepting and exercising a high level of responsibility in keeping and maintaining confidential and sensitive information.
  • Basic competency is MS Word and Excel.
  • Proficient communication skills.
