Position Summary:

The Planning Analyst Level 3 works closely with the Planning team, Sales, Production, and Purchasing to fully understand the business requirements and develop plans that support. May be dedicated to a specific product line of the business. 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reviews all forms of demand, production capacity, and material supply to develop an achievable plan to deliver on track to promise dates.
  • Identifies optimum kit sizes and ensures they are updated in MRP to minimize work order splits and inventory loss.
  • Identify potential inventory shortages and work closely with Purchasing to expedite and reduce the impact. Ensure MRP settings are correct to prevent a recurrence of the shortage.
  • Work with Material Planners to ensure work orders are released on time with consideration to stockroom cycle times.
  • Ensure work orders are released without shortages, unless there is an exception when the shortage is confirmed arriving on time and/or production can perform a process in advance of receiving the parts.
  • Modify and adapt plan when revisions, cancellations, or priorities change.
  • Provide timely responses to MRB and create rework orders where necessary.
  • Work closely with Sales to develop recovery plans when customers have a backorder.
  • Actively collaborate with other departments and promote a spirit of teamwork cross-functionally.
  • Coach, mentor, and help train new associates.
  • Track KPI’s used to measure performance.
  • Guides production planners to sort and distribute work orders or material to workers and/or production supervisors.
  • Provides current status and projected completion dates when requested.
  • Directly handles and responds MRP/ERP production control exception messages.
  • Manages inventory levels for critical production operations.
  • Validates internal and external operation lead times against current standards.
  • Significant contributor to SIOP process for designated product line

Required Experience:

  • MS Office suite proficiency
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in manufacturing & planning
  • Aerospace industry experience highly desired
  • Must have experience with MRP/ERP systems
  • Experience with SIOP (S&OP) a plus

 

Level of Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP courses / certification highly desirable

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $93,900 to $140,900 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors.  For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1.25X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
