Position Summary

The position is responsible for trouble shooting, preventive maintenance, mechanical checks, construction, installation, moving, repairing and maintenance of the machines at our facility, disposing of hazardous materials and other duties and projects as assigned.  Our facility runs primarily Index, Hurco, and Mori-Seiki CNC’s.

Core Competencies Required for this Position

  • Thorough knowledge of servicing/troubleshooting/repairing CNC mills and lathes.
  • Ability to exert heavy physical effort and lift 20-50 lbs.
  • Capable of working with little or no supervision.
  • Capable of working on keeping track of several projects at a time.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics and technical manuals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

 Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Proper handling and disposal of regulated waste.

Minimum Education or Experience

  • High school diploma/GED required. Completion of a craft apprenticeship preferred.
  • Four plus years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC.
  • Experience with Okumas and Moris preferred.

 Working Conditions:

  • Frequently moves maintenance/shop equipment weighing 20 to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • The person in this position frequently walks throughout the shop to assist with maintenance needs
  • Constantly working in shop like conditions.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $25.75 to $38.75 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors.  For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
