Position Summary:

 

This position is responsible for the management of all facility 6-S duties and oversees related activities concerned with the efficient design, organization, layout, and cleanliness of the plant facilities, and properties.

 

 

Specific Responsibilities:

 

  • Works safely. Adheres to all company and regulatory EH&S policies and procedures and helps ensure that all employees are working in this safe manner.
  • Adhere to all Company 6-S initiatives and policies.
  • Supervises plant cleaning crew.
  • Supervises 6S team members (hourly).
  • Must demonstrate personal integrity and the ability to conduct themselves and their job responsibilities in accordance with PCC’s Code of Conduct.
  • Works on specific projects as assigned to assure the efficient utilization of plant space.
  • Works with employees in all departments at all levels of the organization to implement 6-S procedures and best practices.
  • Conducts routine audits in all areas of the facility (inside & outside) for organization, and cleanliness.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Minimum Education or Experience:

 

Four-year degree, and/or a minimum of five (5) years plant management experience in a related industry.

 

 

Other Qualifications:

 

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing, material flow, and efficient plant layout.
  • Strong reasoning ability and problem solving/trouble-shooting skills. Able to mentally process and comprehend complex issues involving multiple variables.
  • Improvement-oriented mindset, shows initiative generates improvement ideas.
  • Self-starter, works well with limited supervision.
  • Determination and assertiveness to accomplish goals and company objectives.
