PCC Airfoils LLC has achieved its preeminent position in the manufacture of aircraft engine blades and vanes and is rapidly gaining market share in the Industrial Gas Turbines industry through pushing the boundaries of Advanced Technology. PCC Airfoils LLC is one of only a few companies in the world that possesses the technology and capability to cast blades and vanes with complex, internal cooling passages out of sophisticated superalloys for aerospace and Industrial Gas Turbine customers. PCC Airfoils LLC has the advantage of being the leader in the production of airfoils for aircraft engines and of capturing a growing share of the market for Industrial Gas Turbine castings. Several new state-of-the-art casting furnaces were recently installed in PCC Airfoils’ facilities along with new ceramic dip lines to handle the increased volume. The dip lines feature the most advanced technology available to ensure process repeatability, improving yields and facilitating on-time product delivery
Based in Milwaukie, Oregon, Deer Creek facility principally manufactures Equiax Vane and Nozzle segments for the Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) industry used in land-based turbine applications for power generation operations
Responsible for the management and administration of the Personnel/Human Resources Department in an autonomous plant facility reporting directly to the Structurals Division Director of Human Resources, with a staff reporting relationship to the Manufacturing Manager(s) at that facility.  Maximizes cost effective utilization of plant human resources to protect company assets by minimizing potential financial liabilities resulting from legal contingencies.  Works within overall Corporate framework to maintain an atmosphere conducive to open communications with the organization and with other plant facilities.  Promotes and establishes positive employee relations programs within the plant.  Integrates Plant HR planning with plant business planning to assure continuity of work force scheduling and protection of our position with our customer.

1. Organizes, staffs, develops, and manages the plant HR administration department. Provides direction to staff and conducts scheduled salary and performance reviews.

2. Recruits and screens for non-exempt positions. Participates in the interviewing process for exempt employees, administers and coordinates the plant AVA programs for all candidates, and maintains all necessary confidential files.

3. Administers company benefit programs. Audits all salary increases assuring compensation is to budgeted salary plans.

4. Administers Corporate Affirmative Action Plan. Assures compliance with all Federal, State, and local EEO laws. Coordinates and resolves discrimination charges.

5. Maintains an active community relations posture assuring that PCC is positively reflected in the area. Provides career counseling utilizing all plant and corporate resources available to aid employees in their development process. Attends Area Representative meetings and chairs pre-Area Representative meetings.

6. Facilitates and actively participates in management development programs for supervisors and provides direction for scheduling of other training opportunities within the plant. Recommends additional training programs and participates in the development of same.

7. Develops, interprets, administers, and supports operating policies in the plant. Coordinates decisions with plant personnel as well as other operating facilities.

8. Maintains contact with professional associations and industries. Keeps current with local and national business trends with particular emphasis on new legal developments relative to the HR field which could affect HR operations.

  • Bachelors degree with major in Human Resources Management, Business, Social Science, or equivalent experience. 
  • Six to ten years management experience or a generalist managing the HR function with emphasis on maintaining a union free environment.
  • Ability to work and communicate with all levels of the business and a broad general understanding of the business function.
  • Intensive knowledge of the Human Resource function, emerging HR trends, and familiar with all areas of sound HR management.
