Location Profile:

Carlton Forge Works produces seamless rolled rings as well as open and closed-die forgings for the aerospace, gas turbine, industrial, commercial, and nuclear industries while using one of the most extensive lines of equipment and truly skilled craftsmen anywhere.

Job Summary:

The production Welder/Grit Blaster will use specialized equipment to weld and assemble new metal forms. As well as blast all furnace parts as needed. Maintain blaster and all blaster related equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comply with PCC Code of Conduct Requirements.
  • Perform all duties in a safe and collaborative manner and immediately report any potentially dangerous conditions or other safety concerns to a supervisor.
  • Promote and comply with good safety practices and habits, including but not limited to, use of all PPE, ensuring guards and safety features are working.
  • Conducts pre-operational inspections of equipment and/or tooling as required
  • Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products
  • Install and repair various equipment and components
  • Calculate material measurements to verify specifications
  • Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance
  • Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job
  • Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors
  • Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes
  • Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
  • Accurately works from shop orders to ensure manufacture of quality part
  • Stacks and organizes parts onto pallets using forklift
  • Maintain accurate and timely daily work logs, equipment maintenance records, and other documents as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience as a welder, is desired
  • Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields
  • Familiarity with welding tools and procedures
  • Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools

Production Welder/Grit blaster Level 1 - 23.75 - 34.75

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $23.75 to $34.75 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors.  For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
