Under general supervision, must exercise knowledge to perform a variety of job duties relating to the processing of MT&E calibrations/validations. Performs gage testing and determination of product conformance to specified requirements including but not limited to:


a. Reviews drawings, router, calibration certifications to determine requirements and specifications

b. Provides evaluation and validation of MT&E quality for final feature specification

c. Verifies accuracy of gages and measuring instruments such as dial indicators, fixed gages, height gages, as well as electrical and functional gages

d. Examines gages or measuring instruments for wear or adjustments needed

e. Disassembles inaccurate or worn gages and measuring instruments with hand-tools i.e. micrometer and calipers

f. Inspects parts for wear, warping, or other defects

g. Measures surface block flatness and finish

h. Computes unspecified dimensions and other data

i. Repairs, cleans, oils and adjusts gages as required

j. Reassembles gage and adjusts stops and levers to specified settings

k. Adheres to all PB Fasteners company policies

l. Other duties as assigned


In addition to the above, Gauge Room attendants are to maintain an organized, clean and safe work area utilizing safety standards while adhering to all quality practices. Management may change responsibilities and/or assignments to meet the business needs without prior notice, including successfully obtaining internal inspection certification.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED, and certificate from a technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.


REQUIRED SKILLS:

1. Language: ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; ability to verbally communicate effectively.

2. Reasoning Ability: ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral or diagram form.

3. Analytical: Synthesize complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data

4. Ability to read and interpret router instructions and specifications

5. Properly use measuring tools

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $23.50 to $29.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors.  For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
