Wyman-Gordon is the premier forging company for the global aerospace and energy markets. Providing a specialized service, Wyman-Gordon manufactures forged components from high grade titanium and nickel based alloys.  Such components are used for jet engines, including fan disks, compressor disks, turbine disks, and shafts.  We also produce titanium and steel forgings for airframes, including wing beams, wing boxes, door and window frames, as well as nacelle and landing gear components.  Wyman-Gordon also extrudes steel products for use in power plants and oil and gas industry applications. Our reputation, market position, and operational efficiency are reliant upon our demonstrated ability to continually improve.

The individual in this position aids in the preparation of contractual provisions and the administration of contract proposals. Additional functions performed include the adherence to master plans and schedules, and the development of solutions to current problems.
  • Liaison with customer sourcing.
  • Coordinates customer shipping requirements with certified scheduling reports.
  • Responsible for maintaining customer demand in Wyman Gordon ERP system (dates, quantities, shipping addresses, etc).
  • Preparing bids and negotiating specifications and contractual provisions.
  • Coordinate and monitor the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs.
  • Sets up new account information and resolves customer issues/problems.
  • Responsible for ensuring customer adherence to contract terms and conditions.
  • Performs additional tasks as required.
  • Work with different levels of personnel within an organization to analyze and solidify an overall contract strategy
  • Review and Monitor Material Part Buffer Plan (Factory Planner) to ensure adequate material on order for all customer demand
  • Issue POA’s to Purchasing for material procurements, cancellations or schedule changes based upon customer scheduling needs
  • Process Form 26 for Planning, maintain FP Mult tolerance tables, Milestone Span Grids, WG and Billet Milestones for new routings in Syteline
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining planned jobs (MPS’s) in Syteline to ensure accuracy of Material Release Plan and dispatches for shop
  • Receive all Titanium and 706 Ingots and setup all raw material conversion jobs necessary for converting stock to specified billet size.
  • Issue purchase order requisitions for outside required services and outside raw material conversions.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Four years related work experience.
  • Familiarity with standard cost concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • US Citizenship or Perm Residency is required due to government military contracts
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • PC/Syteline skills/Factory Planner
  • Self-directed and works well in a matrix organization.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies
  • Ability to work with a team at all levels of an organization
