Maintain, repair, and upgrade components of the network including but not limited to workstations, printers and software. Provide technical software, hardware and network problem resolution to end-users within a fast paced environment by performing question/problem diagnosis and guide users through step-by-step solutions on both an on-site and call-back basis.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Keeps work environment clean and organized.
  • Procures, configures and installs workstations, printers, terminals and related components.
  • Clearly communicates technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner; provide one-on-one end-user training as needed.
  • Ensures timely resolution/referral of user problems by understanding the impact to the user and by assigning an appropriate priority and resolution goal.
  • Performs add/change/remove user requests while following Sarbanes-Oxley and IT policies for all changes.
  • Maintains and updates an accurate IT asset inventory including proper addition and changes of assets, decommissioning of assets and organizing disposal of equipment.
  • Diagnoses and resolves end-user network or local printer problems, PC hardware problems, email problems and site connectivity problems.
  • Tracks software license compliance and performs annual audits to confirm licensing compliance.
  • Maintains spare parts inventory for internal software, hardware and network printers. Enters requisitions as required to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Identifies, troubleshoots and resolves a wide range of technical computer-related problems in an appropriate time frame.
  • Support and train end-users on a wide range of software applications as needed.
  • Works regularly with the Network Administrator and/or IT Manager to assist with projects and to seek guidance as necessary.
  • Support for Shop Floor on technical computer-related issues.

 Qualifications

To perform the job successfully, an individual must demonstrate the following competencies:

  • The ability to multi-task in a face paced environment.
  • Read, understand and apply complex technical information.
  • Willingness to respond quickly and effectively to plant downtime and related issues.
  • Strong team orientation with excellent written and communications skills.
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly with minimal training.
  • Person must occasionally lift and or move up to 75 pounds. Some contortion of the body to reach behind and under furniture may be required as part of the position.

 Education

Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Computer Information Systems or related field of study
