PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Aids in the interpretation, administration, and support of operating policies.  Coordinates and communicates decisions with operations
  • Identifies and recommends additional Human Resources programs and participates in their development
  • Participates in employee investigation process
  • Oversees engagement initiatives, including SWAG and Ti5 Programs
  • Maintains all departmental records, including personnel changes and compliance audits
  • Conducts new hire orientation and exit interviews
  • Coordinates engagement events and activities
  • Manage internal communication systems
  • Employee liason to timekeeping and payroll administration
  • Responsible for attendance administration and auditing
  • Provide counsel and support to supervisors in resolving personnel issues, program development/implementation, etc.
  • Assists in the administration of benefits, including workers compensation
  • Responsible for full-cycle recruting of hourly positions
  • Must be able to demonstrate complaince in all areas, including Export Compliance, SOX, and all other applicable reguilations
  • Facilitates the development and administration of Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working knowledge of company policies and practices
  • Experience with employee benefits administration
  • Must be flexible and able to adjust to interruptions. Adaptable to changing priorities and concurrent assignments. Must be able to organize tasks and work independently
  • Experience and proficiency with office equipment. Must be proficient in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel. ADP/eTime experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to respond independently to routine and emergency issues, based on priority and importance of plant operations
  • Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail
  • Ability and desire to work in a demanding fast paced work environment
  • Must maintain employee confidentiality
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed to best support multiple shift operations
  • Ability to work and communicate with all levels of management and a broad general understanding of the business function

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business or equivalent, minimum of 2 years HR Generalist experience preferred
  • Timekeeping, Payroll, and Benefits administration experience preferred
  • General knowledge of the human resource function, emerging HR trends and legal requirements, and familiarity with all areas of sound HR practices
  • Demonstrated proficiency in at least two specialties highly preferred, such as, Employment, EEO and AACP, Training and Development, Compensation, Labor Relations law etc
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
