Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Demonstrates the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to hit project deadlines.
  • Primary focus will be on scrap reduction, cost savings, material savings, and increasing throughput within the department.
  • Routinely performs process audits within the area, presents findings, and implements process changes where needed.
  • Responsible for ensuring the training program put in place is well defined for the operations in the area.
  • Responsible for putting together weekly presentations to update the team on projects.
  • Ability to sort through data to make statistical based engineering decisions to reduce both scrap and rework.
  • Work with Area Manager and supervisors of the department to help increase Labor Utilization by focusing on process improvements and training practices to increase efficiency.
  • Will be responsible for handling capital-based projects focused around new equipment installs.

 Required Skills and Experience:

    • Relevant experience in Engineering within a Manufacturing environment.
    • Excel, Minitab, and Solid Works experience
    • Working knowledge of ceramics and their impact on the investment casting process.

    • The ability to handle high stress associated with high activity with tight deadlines.
    • Demonstrated initiative and ownership.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
    • Must be a team player with a strong customer orientation.

     Education and Certifications:

    •  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
