Titanium Metals Corporation (TIMET) is one of the world’s largest fully integrated titanium producers. Since 1950, TIMET has been leading the industry in mill and melted products, supplying nearly one-fifth of the world’s titanium. We convert rutile ore into sponge; melt and refine ingot and slab; and manufacture mill products.

Controls and coordinates the supply of raw material to meet the customer order demand for finished product. Ensures that relevant paperwork is correctly prepared for shipping and that all documentation is checked and presented to allow on time metal delivery to the customer.
Assist in control of inventory levels using Sales plan and MRP principles to guide the decision making process.
Provide advice on material availability, material capability, conformance, and actively provide solutions and alternatives to support Commercial needs.
Analyze and control raw material inventory level.
Offer direction to commercial group regarding potential outcomes on the demands against current and incoming inventory considering capacity constraints and current state of mill’s performance abilities.
Must be able to evaluate historical data and offer options for future state success.
Assist Senior Material Planner with system transactions that both investigate and correct material and inventory issues.
Coordinate with and advise the Service Center GM, Production Planning, and Commercial on inventory and material availability issues.
Track orders at the mills and communicate current mill performance abilities (lead time, capacity) to Commercial and Production Planning.
Act as liaison between SC staff and mill planning/tech edit.
Progressively evaluate incoming inventory to maximize yields.
Efficiently research detail information on specific pieces of metal.
Ability to look out 3 to 12 months and understand how changes in mill delivery dates and sales plan will impact inventory position and customer service.
Perform all required administrative functions to order metal from the TIMET Mills
Receives pull slip, sales order and shipping information.
Create, pack and print packing list and attachment to certification
Prepares bills of lading and arranges for transportation of shipments, where applicable.
Work some overtime especially at month end. This may involve a Saturday/ Sunday
Maintains LCS log.
Request release of all orders on credit hold, and track those than cannot be released to ensure shipment ASAP.
Update the daily shipping file with all appropriate order status and monitor multiple times daily to ensure all orders due are accounted for.
Complete the BOL and give to shop. After receiving returned signed BOL, ship in SAP and PGI each order.
Upload and save ship packs.
Email ship packs.
Work with Inside Sales Support team to resolve all customer freight issues.
Resolve all freight issues and utilize freight forwarders, customer designated carriers, and customer freight portals as necessary.
Work with freight company representatives to resolve performance issues, and drive cost savings.
Assisting local buyer daily (when P/L or invoices are received) with goods receipt as needed on Purchasing POs
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related planning experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
APICS certification preferred.
Production control and customer service experience in manufacturing industry preferred.
Proficiency with main frame inventory systems and personal computers, particularly word processing and spreadsheets.
Accurate typing and data entry.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Good problem-solving skills.
Must be computer literate. Working knowledge of SAP is a plus.
