We produce all commercially available vacuum melt nickel and cobalt-based alloys for equiaxed, directionally solidified, and single crystal re-melt applications, as well as air melt cobalt alloys for re-melt applications.  We also produce all commercially available stainless steels, and develop and produce our own line of proprietary single crystal and directionally solidified alloys.

Cannon-Muskegon is recognized as the worldwide leader in the development and manufacture of nickel/cobalt-based alloys and stainless steels for investment casting applications.  We are currently seeking experienced candidates for a Facilities Engineer position at our Muskegon, Michigan facility.  In this position you will be responsible for facility engineering duties, and oversight of related activities concerned with the efficient design, construction, installation, maintenance, work flow, and layout of the plant facilities, mechanical processes & systems, tooling, and equipment.

*Support all safety and 6-S initiatives and adhere to all company and regulatory requirements.

*Demonstrate personal integrity and the ability to conduct business in accordance with PCC's Code of Conduct.

*Manage capital budget and capital projects from start to finish, including equipment design approval, bidding process, vendor/contractor selection, project justification and submission, and construction/installation activities.

*Manage all aspects of facility utility usage.  Develop budgets and controls, and maintain supply infrastructure for all electrical, natural gas, water, sewer, and air systems.  Make recommendations for energy purchases, and for changes within the facility to lower costs.

*Oversee all building and grounds maintenance, including HVAC, air make-up, dust collection, and fire-suppression systems.

*Keeps current with industry standards and technical advances related to facility engineering and advises management in technical advances necessary to maintain a state-of-the-art facility.  Serve as primary contact to facility insurance provider.

*Acts as custodian of all engineering-related records, organizes and maintains a database of all mechanical drawings, CAD programs, plant engineering documents, and other technical manuals related to the facility and equipment.

*Works with government officials/offices to obtain and maintain various construction and operating permits.

*Comply and assist with all company Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.

*Other duties as assigned.

Ideal candidates will possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study, and have a minimum of five (5) years prior related experience in facilities management in a manufacturing environment.
This role requires a strong level of mechanical and electrical knowledge, as well as a high level of initiative.  Successful candidates must also demonstrate excellent time management skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and be able to train/mentor others in the organization.
Experience with Excel, Cognos, BI, Glovia, and Syteline systems is a plus.
