Founded in Jenkintown, PA in 1903 as Standard Pressed Steel Company, SPS Technologies continues to operate from the original 660,000 square foot facility.

Position Summary:

The SIOP Coordinator is an integral member of the PCC team tasked with coordinating all necessary demand, supply, inventory and capacity meetings and requirements to optimize on time delivery, manage costs, and improve the overall customer experience.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze large volume of data pertaining to demand and supply requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external suppliers and key stakeholders to develop a cost effective and sustainable supply delivery profile.
  • Review historical data, demand drivers, and sales forecasts and make recommendations for lead-time reduction and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Assess risk of service failures based on outcome of data review.
  • Coordinate cross functional SIOP meeting based on traditional SIOP cycle practices.
  • Team with finance department to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Govern data integrity in ERP system through data management, auditing, and transactional reviews to ensure best practices and minimize data driven errors.
  • Analyze forecast accuracy and adjust subsequent forecasts to account for any forecast errors.
  • Anticipate impact of changes in demand or supply patterns and proactively take measures to minimize impact on operational performance.
  • Develop capacity charts reflective of current demand and forecast requirements and identify capacity constraints and bottlenecks.
  • Partner with peers to drive continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve lead-time, lower cost, and utilize capacity efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform other appropriate duties as necessary and required.

Required Experience & Education: 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Previous demonstrated experience with SIOP process
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven knowledge of ERP data governance requirements
  • Verifiable knowledge of supply chain management and master scheduling
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of latest advanced technologies in SIOP management including Syteline, Power Bi and ERP systems preferred.
  • Exceptional project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • More than 3 years of progressive hands-on high and low volume manufacturing production control experience with high mix. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or other relevant degree highly preferred.
