Located in Spanish Fork Utah, Klune Industries is unique in that it produces hard metal complex machined parts for both military and commercial aerospace customers. It is also a vertically integrated business with machining, processing and assembly capabilities.

The Help Desk Intern would work 20-25 hours during the academic school year and 30-40 during the summer.

The Help Deks Intern would offer support and technical assistance to internal end users with software, hardware, or other computer systems. Troubleshooting problems through diagnostic tests and remote access to their computers.

 

All help desk personnel need excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills, along with patience, a customer-friendly attitude, and the ability to work in a team environment.

 

In addition, technicians should have a strong technical understanding of technology, including the various hardware, software, and network systems being supported.

  • Responding to queries and requests via chat, email, or phone
  • Responding to monitoring alerts
  • Managing support tickets
  • Providing technical assistance for:
  • Deploying, configuring, and supporting operating systems on desktop and mobile
  • Assisting with maintaining inventory of IT supplies, peripherals, and workstations
  • Writing and revising knowledgebase articles
  • Performing daily maintenance tasks

  • Strong working knowledge of hardware and software, including Windows operating systems and mobile
  • Resourcefulness and quick-thinking nature to troubleshoot hardware and software with which they are not familiar
  • Ability to communicate effectively with end users and management
  • Writing and editing skills to aid in writing and updating knowledgebase articles
  • Understanding and appreciation for information security
  • Ability to manage and take ownership of multiple tickets simultaneously, with the ability to pivot and re-prioritize as needed.
  • Applicant must be a self-starter, with limited need for guidance on common tasks
  • Reliable attendance and time management
  • Diligence with maintaining requirements for strict SOX controls
