SPS Technologies continues to advance the materials, designs, and manufacturing practices of aerospace fasteners today to meet the unique needs of next generation vehicles and assembly techniques.

The Methods Engineer will collaborate with operations and manufacturing teams to develop effective and optimal techniques, solutions, and processes for the production of critical aerospace fasteners. 
  • Work with experienced manufacturing method engineers and machine operators to develop manufacturing methods for aerospace fastener products using both custom and industry standard software applications.
  • Read and understand customer requirements to translate into clear and concise sequences of manufacturing operations, including all relevant information.
  • Join the engineering team overseeing the implementation of two new department-wide systems; a new methodizing system using Enterprise Resource Planning software Syteline, and a new Automated Drawing System (ADS) for creating manufacturing models and drawings using CATIA and the 3DEXPERIENCE CAD Suite.
  • Own various product families to provide as-needed support throughout the manufacturing process, from raw material to finished part inspection.
Candidates should have a prior background of recent and related Methods Engineering experience as well as a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering.
  • Must have demonstrated proficiencies in skills and essential functions required.
  • Advanced communications such as training other employees, posting, preparing, interpreting, using and checking reports, records and comparable data.
  • Exercises initiative and ingenuity to work independently toward the ultimate objective.
  • Uses judgement to plan or perform work within limitations of standard methods and procedures.
