Located in South Gate, California, Shultz Steel operates the most modern vertically integrated forging facility in the aerospace industry. Shultz Steel offers a wide range of impression forgings, including some of the largest and most complex available - and they have an unsurpassed line of open die forgings. Shultz Steel is capable of producing seamless rolled rings up to 26 feet in diameter. The operation uses all major alloys including titanium, vacuum melt high strength and stainless steels, nickel and cobalt; and aluminum (rings only).

Duties below are performed under direction and review by Quality Analyst II.
Coordinates with Production Control and Shipping to determine jobs that need to be done daily.
Coordinates to ensure optimum flow of paperwork.
Reviews shop travelers, ID sheets, mill certifications, ultrasonic certifications, etc., for product prior to shipment to the customer. Reviews include verifying accuracy of specification numbers and revisions, purchase order number, heat number(s), heat lot number(s), etc., on all certifications.
Prepares certification, of conformance and any other required documentation and organizes all documents according to quality procedures. Updates various logs per work instructions.
Handles customer source inspection, including calling and scheduling source and performing delegated source functions as required.
Copies certification packages for shipment and files, scans completed packages in Quality job files for future reference.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
