- Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
- Work independently on broad general assignments with the responsibility for planning of work
- Make major decisions within broad limitations of policies, referring to superiors when large investment or long-term programs are involved
- Ability to work permanently in the United States is required.
- HS diploma or GED is required.
- Maintenance Technician Certification is preferred
- Forklift OSHA Certification preferred
- 4+ years in a manufacturing or aerospace environment preferred
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and short correspondence and communicate effectively with coworkers and vendors
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and/or concrete variables.
- Ability to us Microsoft Office applications (for data interpretation in charting & graphing of calibrations and uniformity surveys of processes, writing & correspondence of instructions, documentation and work techniques)
- Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds continuously and up to 60 pounds frequently
- Ability to sit, drive, climb, balance, and crawl occasionally
- Ability to reach above and below shoulders, stoop and squat frequently
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, and use hands to grasp or feel continuously throughout the shift
- Ability to work in areas with loud noise and wear ear protection
- Ability to work near or with hazardous waste frequently and take hazardous waste training as required.
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures, including attendance requirements
