Wyman-Gordon Pennsylvania, a leader in the manufacture of flash-welded and cold-rolled rings for jet engine and gas turbine applications, is seeking a Quality Manager for the Mountaintop and Wilkes-Barre (Tru Form) facilities which are located in Northeast Pennsylvania.

• Quality Manager is the appointed management representative
• Main point of contact with customers, regulatory, and government agencies on all quality related issues and audits
• Maintain and update the Quality Manual
• Control and approve internal procedures
• Auditing of Wyman-Gordon for compliance
• Responsible for the audit and approval of subcontractors
• Manage personnel responsible for quality planning, release of product and raw material, and the final certification of product.
• Manage the Level III NDT Examiners, responsible for personnel qualification, special process certifications, procedure generation, and audits
• Function as the Management Representative as required by ISO-9001, AS9100
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with NADCAP, ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
• Review and approval of subcontract requisitions
• Manage personnel performing source inspection, audit, and release of product from subcontract suppliers
• Accountability for Scrap & Rework
• Accountability for Customer Returns
• Drive RCCA process through application of SPC, DMAIC, and other Lean principles

• BS minimum, MS, and 5-10 years’ experience in quality related functions required

Knowledge or experience in the following areas: Melting Processes, Forge Processes, Metallurgy, NDT Testing, Material Testing, Heat Treatment and furnace qualification requirements, Blue Print and Specification interpretation, SPC, Machining processes, customer specifications and requirements, calibration requirements
