PCC Aerostructures now includes more than 35 plants in the U.S, Europe and Asia with over 5500 employees and has ambitious growth plans. Predominantly, a provider for large, highly complex machined parts, kits and assemblies for OEMs and large Tier One providers for both military and commercial market segments. Progressive Incorporated is now a 271,000 square foot facility.

This position acts in a supporting role related to Quality Assurance compliance responsibilities, such as: internal audits, corrective action documentation initiation, tracking and customer visibility, defect data collection, trending, charting and analysis.

  • Knowledge of, and familiarity with, AS9100 Quality Management Systems requirements (preferably Rev D)
  • Ensure that all defective parts and their associated defects are documented in accordance with established systems and procedures.
  • Generation of internal and external customer non-conformance documentation.
  • Prepare and determine root cause and corrective action analysis.
  • Defect data collection, trending, charting and analysis.
  • Perform internal audits in compliance with established procedures and AS9100 requirements.
  • Lead the development of Control Plans.
  • Interface with customer Quality Assurance program representatives in regards to defect documentation and corrective action issues.
  • Assist in the identification of the need for and generation of rework/repair planning.
  • Assist in coordinating post-disposition repair activities related to customer disposition of submitted non-conformances.
  • Assist with the Review and approval of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) as required. Ensure FAI adequacy, completeness and compliance to AS9102
  • Actively support and interact with other members of the management team, including Manufacturing Operations, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Program Management, and N/C Programming.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
  • 1-2 Years of Manufacturing Experience Preferred
  • 2+ years in the aerospace or automotive industry preferred
  • BS in Industrial, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Must have the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet expectations for required competencies in position, which includes: 1) safety, health, and environmental awareness, 2) business ethics and compliance, 3) technical/professional competence and quality & time management, 4) interpersonal relations and communication skills, 5) initiative, flexibility, innovation, and adaptability, 6) continuous improvement and problem solving, and 7) planning and organizing.   • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on deadline.
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers, suppliers, and fellow team members.
  • Be willing to research, evaluate and train new process methods.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point);
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
