Position Summary:

Level One – Level one tool room techs under direct supervision, are responsible for running tools to the shop floor, are familiar with tool logs, broken tool report logs, and insert logs. They will also demonstrate basic skills relating to inventory control, basic shop math including cutting tool geometry, and measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, etc., and validating tool specifications using a presetter based on correctly interpreting tool lists. Level one tool room techs may be expected to calibrate presetters as necessary. In addition, they will also demonstrate basic computer skills and the ability to work with digital logs, tool lists and reports as needed. Typically, 0-1 years of experience.

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Perform basic tool crib tasks supporting production floor.
  • Basic tool room attending (organizing/distributing supplies)
  • Maintain appropriate lists/logs (order, check out, etc.)

Experience & Education

  • High School, GED preferred but not required
  • 0-1 years experience
