Position Summary:

Level Three: Level three heading machine operators work without supervision to setup and operate heading machines both mechanical and computer assisted machines to produce all required product types including complex rivet sleeves and stems. Level three operators also demonstrate intermediate trouble shooting abilities and perform setups for others as well as mentor lower level employees. Provides communication between production and engineering. They will also demonstrate intermediate knowledge of progressive header tooling configurations and function, including pins, punches, dies, knock outs, transfers etc.  3-5 Years

 

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Adheres to quality processes including in-process inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Correctly interpret work orders
  • Lift up to 45lbs
  • Assist in training & machine setups
  • Work with and assist engineering/tooling in trouble shooting
  • Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

 

Required Skills:

  • The ability to read and write English.
  • Certification required
  • Advanced print reading & inspection processes
  • Intermediate familiarity of header tooling & equipment (Progressive & Non-Progressive)
  • Advanced knowledge of wire material & coatings
  • Intermediate trouble shooting

 

Experience & Education

  • Typically 3-5 Years of Experience

GED or High school diploma preferred but
