AVK Industrial Products, a Precision Castparts Company, manufactures superior mechanical inserts, studs, compression limiters, installation tools and military standard bolts. AVK produces blind installed threaded fasteners for transportation and general industrial markets worldwide. We use state of the art high-speed cold forming equipment to produce blind installed threaded inserts and studs. We feature product lines of both unified (INCH) and metric fasteners along with numerous special designs that meet customer application requirements. Position Summary: 
The Manufacturing Engineer continually investigates materials, methods and mechanisms for new development or improvements of current manufacturing processes and supporting equipment. Develops and maintains manufacturing and inspection equipment.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities: 
•    Develops, documents and improves manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
•    Serves as the local Division point-of-contact for lean and continuous improvement (CI) projects, training, initiatives, and issues.
•    Completes new equipment design and development projects by training and guiding shop employees.
•    Supply and accomplish accurate completion dates of all projects. 
•    Improves manufacturing efficiency and safety by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
•    Takes ownership and accountability of projects.
•    Assist engineering team in new equipment procurement ensuring reliability and functionality.
•    Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures; requesting special service. 
•    Troubleshoot production problems as required
•    Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

•    Efficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•    Demonstrated accomplishments in a manufacturing environment

Experience & Education

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $78800 to $118200 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors.  For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
