Business Profile:

PCC Aerostructures Auburn is a kitting, assembly, and integration center that was created in 1999 as Primus International with the merger of Bumstead Manufacturing, Inc. and Hansen Machine Corporation. Precision Castparts Corp. acquired Primus International in August, 2011 and has since merged GCM North American Aerospace and Compass Aerospace Northwest with Auburn to create a vertical integration solutions center for medium assembly. The site is a center of excellence for hard metal machining and door assembly.


Position Summary:

The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for managing the customer relationship as it pertains to daily operations and long-term strategy. The PM is accountable for successful coordination of planning, scheduling and the delivery of products to the customer per specifications in the contract (date, quantity, quality, special requests). The PM liaises with the customer, contracts, legal, manufacturing and extended supply chain, including formal reviews, to drive internal goals and meet customer requirements. The PM is also accountable for acquiring new business when applicable.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage strategic relationship and daily communications with customers
  • Manage customer Purchase Order/CBO releases to ensure adherence to contract, internal, and SOX’s requirements, which include accurate ERP
  • Manage any customer schedule change requests (acceleration or deceleration) coordinating internal to ensure changes support internal and contractual requirements
  • Coordinate the program related efforts of Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Planners to support goals for sales, delivery, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Manage special projects, including new part introductions and improvement initiatives
  • Forecast and champion monthly, quarterly, and annual sales
  • Validate and coordinate customer release/change requests
  • Analyze customer satisfaction data/report cards and drive improvements
  • Conduct long term planning with customers (business development)
  • Receive RFQs for new business and negotiate to follow on orders
  • Facilitate payment collections as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and planning abilities
  • Project management, including ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional teams and achieve targets in a dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with industry standards, concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, technical drawings, and specifications
  • Comfort with complex business scenarios
  • Use of ERP/MRP software and Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with “build to print” contract, terms, and conditions

 

Required Experience and Education

  • 3+ years Program Management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with manufacturing experience or equivalent
  • Project Manager Certification a plus

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful application must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work. For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $70000 to $100000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors.  For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
