Purpose:Oversee the design, development, and maintaining of Alarm Panels.  Optimize panel configurations for manufacturability, testability, and serviceability.  Provide technical guidance to production, including development of concise processes and work instructions.  Focus on maximizing efficiencies and throughput.  Ensure compliance with 3rd party certification standards.

Core Responsibilities:
•Maintain existing panels and develop improvements for ease of manufacture, test, and service.
•Develop new panel configurations for ease of manufacture, test, and service.
•Identify improvement opportunities, create project plans, and collaborate with multifunctional design and implementation team and lead project to completion.
•Ensure compliance with 3rd party certifications such as NEC, UL508a and CSA 
•Conduct in-depth research, review technical literature, and stay current with industry developments.
•Assist production department with implementation of new products including ECN, product routing/BOM structure, written and visual work instructions, and other associated documentation.
•Support outside vendors and suppliers during new process development, new product implementation, and issue identification/resolution.
•Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Electrical preferred. 
•2-4 years of experience in a product development, manufacturing support, and/or troubleshooting environment (including co-op)
•Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
•Willing and able to collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary team.
•Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite (Specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)

Desired Characteristics:
•Familiar with third party approval agencies and approval processes (UL, CSA, etc.)
•Familiar with Electrical Test equipment – Multimeters, oscilloscope, LabVIEW, etc.
•Familiar with ECAD software for schematic capture and panel wiring
•Familiar with 2D / 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $62600 to $93800 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors.  For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
