Summary

This position assists in the management of the Company’s sales activities - maintaining strong, long-lasting relationship and contact with customers in the assigned sales territory.

 Primary Responsibilities

  • Work safely. Adhere to all company and regulatory EH&S and 6-S policies and procedures.
  • Perpetuate sales bookings through direct contact and technical liaison with customers.
  • Manage day-to-day customer communication and ongoing relationships as it relates to current, new and upcoming orders.
  • Develop new accounts and markets.
  • Report on industry and market trends to Sales and senior leadership.
  • Maintain/control inventory levels for finished goods as directed by management.
  • Track/expedite production orders.
  • Assist accounting with collections.
  • Perform order entry/understand guidelines of contract review.
  • Interface between customers and Manufacturing/Technology concerning specification/technical capability.
  • Monitor sales metrics and provide regular sales forecast for assigned account base.
  • Develop interaction of the technical and metallurgical services group with our customers.
  • As necessary, visit clients, attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship-building opportunities.
  • Ability to travel 15% of the time.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 Education and experience

  • 4-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical related sales experience, preferrable in alloy or aerospace industry.
  • Familiar with technical aspects of CM alloys and concepts of manufacturing processes preferred.

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to frequently remain in a stationary position.  Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.   Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. WORK ENVIRONMENT

The typical work environment is a standard office setting / office contained in a manufacturing setting.  The employee is occasionally required to perform work in a manufacturing setting, occasional exposure high noise level and heat.
