Position Summary:

The Facilities & Maintenance Manager is responsible for establishing a comprehensive maintenance system to maximize production availability, manage capital projects, upgrade existing equipment, add new technology, and manage a team of both maintenance personnel and facilities engineers.  A focus on total productive maintenance and continuous improvement upgrades is essential, improving our competitiveness through reduction of downtime, provide operational efficiency, and reduce maintenance costs. This includes the development and implementation of technical improvements to the plant processes and maintenance function, including failure analysis, materials of construction, repair method and application of diagnostic/predictive maintenance and information management.

•    Manage planning and scheduling by utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Responsibilities include maintaining the asset hierarchy, managing equipment spare parts lists, managing and scheduling planned work activities, and maintaining an acceptable level of open work orders.
•    Implement predictive and preventative maintenance plans to evaluate the condition of equipment by performing periodic monitoring and repair.
•    Manage daily activities of the maintenance group to ensure compliance to the plan while working in a safe and efficient manner.
•    Plan for and coordinate the installation of new equipment and the removal or movement of current equipment; finds contractors as needed, reviews the contracts, and monitors and approves contractors’ work.
•    Develop and monitor the maintenance repair and capital improvement budgets; initiates programs and procedures to reduce spending and enhance performance.
•    Collaborate with the Production team and key employees to effectively plan for scheduled and unscheduled events to maximize time for rebuilds, repairs and preventative maintenance.
•    Consistently participate and follow the Company’s manufacturing operating system. Attend and contribute to daily and weekly meetings on a regular basis. Contribute to and support continuous improvement initiatives.
•    Works closely with Process Engineering to integrate new equipment and processes into the facility and takes ownership of establishing maintenance plan for PM’s and critical spares.
•    Works closely with the EHS Manager to execute campus wide 6S activities.
•    Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving operations and solving maintenance related problems. Maintains all documentation as required.
•    Responsible for single-point coordination of emergency off-shift and weekend repair needs (e.g., vendor contact, shipping of product, etc.).
•    Maintains and provides adequate tools, in proper condition for duties performed by maintenance and facilities.
•    Maintains business relationship with third-party contractor support base.
•    Working knowledge of vacuum systems, furnaces, hydraulics, pneumatics, power, and controls.
•    Comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations, as well as all Company policies and procedures.
•    Other duties as assigned.
 
Required Qualifications:

•   10 years Project Management / Heavy Industrial experience or 5 years related experience & Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in engineering
•    Minimum of five years of experience as a heavy industrial / manufacturing maintenance manager.
•    Understanding of general construction practices.
•    Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written format.
•    Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.
•    Excellent organization, time management and project planning skills.
•    Ability to effectively analyze problems and identify solutions.
•    Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
•    Ability to prioritize a heavy work schedule.
•    Effective supervisory skills.
•    Hold people accountable.

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Master’s Degree in Business Administration from an accredited institution.
•    Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
•    Minimum of five years of experience with the repair and maintenance of investment casting equipment.
•    Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming experience.
•    Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP).
•    Experience with a CMMS System.
•    Experience with implementation of LEAN Manufacturing tools and techniques.

•    Works under general direction and supervision of the General Manager.  
•    Occasional sitting, standing, walking, driving, using hands to handle or feel, reaching above shoulder level, reaching below shoulder level, climbing, balancing, stooping, squatting, crawling, pushing, pulling, and using stairs.
•    Occasional work required in areas with wet or humid conditions-non-weather, near moving mechanical parts, in high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor or weather conditions, extreme cold non-weather, extreme heat non-weather, and vibration.
•    Occasional elevated work requiring use of a man lift and fall restraint.
•    Occasional lift and/or carry loads up to 35 pounds.
•    Work in areas with loud noise required.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $108000 to $180000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors.  For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 3X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
