Tilton specializes in complex air and vacuum aluminum investment cast components for aerospace, military, energy, and commercial applications.

- Receives models from customer into designated archives
- Translate and verify with Kubotek software translations or copies that can be used by tooling, inspection, and fixture vendors
- Completes customer audits of our DPD system to Boeing and other customer requirements.
- Maintains the E005 form to assure that all models used for acceptance and build are traceable back to customer authority data set.
Tool and Fixture Design / Build
- Develops Statement of Work (SOW’S) for new tools and fixtures for quoting and job placement.
- Develop shrink data for die build working with product engineering
- Using Solidworks to concept and design inspection fixtures, work holding fixtures and other items as needed
- Request and tracks quotes from vendors, setup through IT for secure file transfer with vendors
- Develop and maintain current internal pattern and tooling specifications
First Article Inspection
- Using Solidwork to manipulate models to assist the layout department in FAI inspections. Interfaces with customer to get approval of CMM hit points when required
- Review and analyze FAI data for corrections to wax injection dies and fixtures to bring into conformance
- Analyze and develop corrective action plans and parts in production with dimensional non-conformance issues with product and process engineers
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or applicable experience
- Strong CAD skills (Solidworks, or Catia)
- 2 – 5 years of experience in tooling design, CAD, or dimensional analysis of castings
- Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) and drawing interpretation.
- Basic understanding of cast products and processes.
- Solid communications skills, both written and verbal.
