PCC Ogden’s diverse capabilities include 5-axis CNC machining in addition to manufacturing investment castings in both aluminum and stainless steel. With over 150,000 square feet of manufacturing space, we specialize in castings for aerospace, energy, medical equipment and commercial applications.

 

PCC Structurals is the world leader in superalloy, aluminum and titanium investment casting.  With applications in jet aircraft engines, airframes, industrial gas turbine (IGT) engines, military armaments, medical prosthesis, and many other industrial markets, we provide a wide portfolio  of high-quality components, some as large as 100 inches (250cm).

 

As the original business unit for Precision Castparts, you can count on PCC Structurals’ extensive experience and knowledge to consistently provide high-quality castings, even at significant volumes.

 

PCC Structurals also provides solidification modeling, in-house rapid prototyping (including SLA), digital radiography, hot isostatic pressing, precision machining and protective coating services. We operate 11 manufacturing facilities in the United States and Europe.

Oversees the activities of the Purchasing department, including the warehouse. Responsible for overseeing the purchase of all goods, services and materials. Coordinates the flow, storage and reordering of supplies and materials throughout the Company.

Ensures optimum inventory levels and verifies inventories by overseeing the conduct of physical inventories without having excess inventory in the warehouse.

Focuses on the reduction of waste for both material and non-material.

Reviews and monitors Cost of Materials each month for issues and to ensure accurate reporting.

Ensures proper inventory management and control is in place for all materials.

Works with other departments within the company to minimize material stockouts and to provide prompt and accurate delivery of materials to key internal customers.

Manages variance exposure minimization; creates and monitors action plans to address and resolve variance issues; develops and implements business processes to address short-term or long-term issues.

Implements and maintains physical distribution procedures, dispatching and expediting procedures.

Manages on-time material delivery; provides guidance to direct reports on complex delivery issues.

Communicates projected needs to suppliers; manages exceptions affecting plan.

Establishes, maintains, publishes and utilizes effective management measurement tools for use within organization.

Owns, generates, and verifies departmental metrics; provides input regarding metrics under development.

Creates and monitors action plans to address and resolve departmental issues.

Manages department employees, budget, costs and resources.

Ensures timely delivery of products at the best value possible.

Maintains good customer service and seamless reordering systems.

Watch market trends in regard to pricing.

Continue to improve supply flow while reducing inventory and costs.

Anticipates what products and materials the Plants will need.

Maintains a good business relationship with Suppliers and addresses issues as they arise.

Manages sales of all surplus equipment.

Manages waste removal.

Manages PCC Ogden travel, vending services, freight, grounds keeping and cell phones.

Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or another related field highly preferred

5-8+ years of progressive purchasing and inventory management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Training and experience in Kan Ban, JIT, Lean Manufacturing, and pull systems

Confident and proven negotiator.

Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Able to read and comprehend English.

Able to meet Company requirements to operate company vehicles, including having a valid Driver License

Able to operate industrial power equipment (i.e. Forklift, Reach Truck, etc.)

Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.

Able to lift and carry up to 35lbs. frequently.

Able to use Microsoft Office applications.

Able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Able to deal with non-verbal symbolism, in its most difficult forms. Able to deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables.

Complies with company and departmental policies and procedures, including company’s attendance policy and holds direct reports to the same standard.
