The Corporate Accountant is responsible for the corporate general ledger including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis, and participating in the month-end processes. This role is highly collaborative and visible with multiple stakeholders of the company.

Responsibilities:
o    Responsible for the corporate general ledger including preparing journal entries, participating in the month-end processes, preparing reconciliations, and developing and improving analyses
o    Support the corporate capital appropriations request process including submitting requests, tracking, reconciliation, and compliance with corporate policy
o    Coordinate with both external and internal auditors to complete financial audits and SOX testing
o    Support balance sheet and income statement budgets/forecasts including preparing periodic reports for management review
o    Assist with quarterly preparation of schedules for review by management and other analysis
o    Cross-train with other members of Corporate Accounting
o    Identify process opportunity areas and develop and implement procedures to improve organizational efficiency
o    Perform special projects, other duties as assigned

Skills:
o    Knowledge and understanding of accounting and application of financial principles (GAAP)
o    Strong attention to detail; accuracy of work is critical 
o    Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
o    Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills including the ability to meet communicated deadlines and act as the primary owner of individual projects, analyses, and processes
o    Self-motivated with the ability to work productively and independently
o    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
o    High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables and functions) 
o    Ability to work in partnership with all levels of employees up to and including senior management, and various PCC locations 
o    Must be able to process sensitive information in the strictest confidence  
o    Demonstrate ability to improve and streamline business processes

Experience: 
o    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA preferred
o    Minimum 2 years of accounting/finance experience 
o    Experience in public accounting or accounting role within a public company preferred
