Wyman-Gordon is a worldwide supplier to the aerospace and industrial gas turbine markets. We hold quality accreditations for all the major airframe and engine manufacturers for both civil and military applications. Wyman-Gordon creates rotating closed-die forgings which are critical for aerospace and land-based gas turbines.  Wyman-Gordon also manufactures structural forgings for airframe, nuclear, petrochemical, power generation, and space applications.
Located in Ontario, CA, Summit Machine, LLC specializes in the rough and finish machining of super alloys for the aerospace, commercial, defense, power, and petroleum industries.  Complex components include nickel base, titanium, stainless steel, aluminum and carbon steels with parts ranging in size from 2” OD – 120” OD.
Level 3 Tool Crib Techs, with no supervision, manage the tool crib inventories and processes as well as communicate with in house or outsourced tool grinding. They demonstrate an expert ability to tear down and set up all tool geometries as well as coordinate tool crib operations including inventory controls, ordering new cutting tools/manufacturing supply etc., and determine work priority for lower level techs. Will demonstrate ability to manage tooling database and inventory system, as well as provide leadership and assistance to lower level techs. Typically requires 4-6 years of experience.

• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.

• Manage Supply & Inventory Logs

• Advanced Work Area Organization

• Issue Tools of Advanced Complexity  

• Perform Advanced Cutting Tool Visual Inspection

• The ability to train others

• High school graduate or equivalent is required

• Experience with various cutting tools (e.g. lathe inserts, milling drills & taps, etc.) is required.

• 4-6 years of prior manufacturing, aerospace or similar industry experience is preferred.

• The ability to read and write English.

• Demonstrate leadership by positive modeled culture 

• The ability to determine workload priorities 

• The ability to maintain full inventory control 

• Must be able to lift and/or maneuver objects up to 25 pounds

• Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
