Carlton Forge Works manufactures parts from all forgeable alloys including several exotic high temperature metals. Currently, we have an exciting career opportunity for a part time paid Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op positions to assist in projects to improve forging practices, costing, and processes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Co-Op position will be tasked with various short/long term projects to gather and analyze data required for efficient design/processing of forgings for seamless rolled rings and open and closed die forgings
• You will be expected to deliver project updates, findings, and report to your manager/team as needed
• You will be exposed to manufacturing environment, estimating of forging processes, manufacturing process planning, heat treatment, machining, testing, maintenance, etc

• Minimum at a sophomore standing at an accredited 4-year university
• Must have 3.0+ GPA, transcripts will be requested during selection process
• Must be working towards bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Material Science Engineering

• A strong technical aptitude along with the ability to work independently, yet interact closely with other departments, customers, and vendors
• Must have strong cross functional team skills and excellent verbal, written and computer skills required as well as mathematical, analytical, problem solving and organizations skills
