Ensure safe product movement and maintenance practices and systems are established and followed
Provide guidance and leadership to front line supervisors
Ensure safety/environmental/quality compliance
Justify new equipment or special tools for all areas
Oversee and be responsible for product movement from material launch to final shipment.
Monitor and control maintenance and transportation personnel levels and labor resource utilization
Prepare the plant maintenance budget
Establish area goals and objectives
Monitor and control maintenance costs
Monitor and control contract maintenance services
Evaluate and communicate subordinate performance
Ensure adequate training and development of all maintenance and material handling/transportation personnel
Review and monitor special and major projects with Engineering
Ensure compliance with maintenance standards and procedures
Interact with peer and senior Company leadership
Ensure maintenance planning and scheduling meet operational goals and objectives
Ensure material movement and transportation transactions meet operational goals and objectives
Ensure compliance with departmental and Company policies and procedures
Continuously review maintenance programs, preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance objectives.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical)
Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in a heavy industrial equipment facility.
Proof of US citizenship, nationality, and/or permanent resident status in order to comply with all applicable export and import laws and regulations.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment/machinery
Effectively communicate with subordinate personnel to develop corrective actions plans
Utilize creative and technical input from all resources, including hourly, engineering and purchasing
Principles of mechanical and/or electrical engineering
Basic computer skills including CMMS systems
Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem skills.
