Summary:
As an advocate for the employees and the business, the Human Resources Manager is a critical member of the team who will partner with the General Manager and Staff to bring people solutions to business problems.  In this role you will also be responsible for all aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance management, employee development, and compensation.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Develop relationships with employees at all levels within the organization by having a consistent presence on the shop floor; attend morning line walks in both plants.
•    Plan, organize, and manage all activities of the department.  Partner with plant management to identify organizational gaps, develop strategies to obtain goals and objectives, and proactively provide feedback and recommendations for improvement. 
•    Proactively identify potential issues, collaborate with the team to ensure timely and appropriate resolutions.
•    Manage the annual performance review and merit process for hourly and salary employees, ensure compensation data is current, and review the workforce to ensure compensation remains competitive.  
•    Manage the recruitment process, responsible for ensuring open hourly and salary positions are filled timely, provide guidance and support to the HR Generalist and hiring manages as needed throughout the process. 
•    Promote, maintain, and model positive employee interactions.  Manage the resolution of employee issues timely and effectively, provide supervisors and managers with support as issues arise.   
•    Ensure reporting requirements, both internal and external, are completed timely and accurately.
•    Become a trusted resources for all employees.  

Experience and Education:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources Management, or equivalent.
•    At least five to seven years in Human Resources with at least two years’ experience in a management position. 
•    Ability to influence across all functions and communicate with employees at all levels within the organization.  

Requirements:
•    Ability to provide creative solutions to day-to-day problems and support employees at all levels in the organization.
•    Be inquisitive and have a desire to learn the people, process, and business.  
•    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.  Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.  
•    Ability to perform duties in manufacturing environment which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures.  Ability to lift up to 35 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
