Position Summary:

The Program Manager is a proactive and customer-focused position who oversees strategic aerospace programs and ensure exceptional service delivery. This role will act as the primary liaison between Shultz Steel and its aerospace clients, managing program execution, from order intake through delivery, while driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. 

 Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned aerospace customers, managing all aspects of program lifecycle from cradle to grave. LOB ( line of Balances), Preparation of PRA’s (Production Readiness Assessment), etc.
• Coordinate internal teams (engineering, production, quality, logistics) to meet customer requirements and delivery schedules
• Monitor program performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery and quality compliance
• Lead customer reviews, contract negotiations, and change management processes
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for program milestones, KPIs, and customer communications
• Collaborate with sales and technical teams to support new business opportunities and program expansions
• Champion customer advocacy and drive resolution of issues with urgency and transparency
• Other duties and projects assigned

 Required Skills:

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in ERP systems and program tracking tools (e.g., Symix, Syteline, SAP, MS Project)
• Self-directed and works well in a matrix organization.
• Ability to manage multiple complex programs in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
• Attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies
• Ability to work with a team at all levels of an organization
• Understanding of standard cost concepts, practices, and procedures within aerospace manufacturing (Forgings preferred)

Experience & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace program management or customer-facing roles
• Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, including forging, machining, and quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP)
• PMP certification or equivalent is a plus
