Level One: Working under direct supervision level one general assembly operators complete basic assembly tasks supporting either assembly lines or focus factories by following routers and work documents, verifying kits, components and correct tooling relating to minor mechanical, electrical and component assembly. This requires using basic assembly items such as templates, files, drills, clamps, jigs, presses, saws, rivet guns, epoxies, fasteners and other related equipment. They will also be introduced to basic hand-held inspection tools such calipers, micrometers, and gauges, and will be required to perform basic in process inspection tasks such as dimensional, visual and functional fit, demonstrating basic shop math skills, and the ability to use basic hand tools.
