Located in North Hollywood, CA, Avibank Manufacturing, Inc., a PCC Company, apart of the Engineered Products Group, is among the world's leading manufacturers specializing in the design and production of sophisticated fasteners and multi-component fastening systems and devices, solving difficult engineering and critical performance problems.
Selected Plating Operator Level 2 candidates in this position will be expected to successfully apply Post Chromate (chemical conversion coatings) to steel alloy production parts, and perform various support functions for the Plating department. Candidates in this position shall be fully familiar with various racking techniques, manual and tank chromate treatment applications, and other pre cleaning operations such as solvent cleaning and vapor degreasing. Level 2 Plating Operators will also be expected to maintain terminal equipment in good working order throughout the production cycle such as repair and replacement of racking components and equipment as necessary. Candidates must be self-disciplined and self-motivated individuals with strong accountability (attention to details) skills. Candidates must have the ability and desire to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced production environment, be resourceful and innovative along with presenting a strong business ethic and compliance to leadership and company policies, and a good communicator with the ability to represent the company in a positive manner
  • Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints. 

  • Operates manual or automatic assembly machines to assemble, bump, crimp, knurl, slot, insert, stamp, groove cut, etc. or resize or re-work parts to specifications 

  • Operates support machines such as arbor, drill press, cutters, rollers etc. as well as various hand tools such as pliers, wrenches 

  • Check parts for dimensional accuracy use both touch and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers 

  • Provides necessary counts and processes documentation accurately. Maintains production logs

  • Full CMM setup and operation 

  • Intermediate proficiency in print reading and digital model manipulation 

  • Advanced competencies in mechanical inspection techniques 

  • Computer proficiency in required software (MS Suite, CATIA, PC-DMIS, etc.)
