Wyman-Gordon: Wyman-Gordon is a worldwide supplier to the aerospace and industrial gas turbine markets. We hold quality accreditations for all of the major airframe and engine manufacturers for both civil and military applications. Wyman-Gordon creates rotating closed-die forgings which are critical for aerospace and land-based gas turbines.  Wyman-Gordon also manufactures structural forgings for airframe, nuclear, petrochemical, power generation, and space applications.
Located in Dillon, South Carolina Wyman Gordon is a major industrial manufacturer serving a wide range of industries including aerospace, power generation, and industrial businesses. 

Wyman Gordon-Dillon located at 152 Caldwell Drive, SC 29536 has several immediate Full-Time openings for experienced CNC Machinists for our manufacturing facility. 

Candidates must be able to work any shift (non-rating) including 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. Monday through Friday with potential of weekend overtime.
CNC Machinists at Wyman Gordon are responsible for machining our specialized parts designed for use in the Aerospace industry using various 3 - 5 Axis CNC Mills and Lathes. 

Candidates for these positions must have prior CNC Machinist experience operating CNC Lathes or CNC Milling Machines. 

Other responsibilities in this role include but are not limited to:
•    Work safely in accordance with plant safety guidelines including cardinal rules of safety.
•    Adheres to quality processes including in-process inspections to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
•    Load and unload product and fixtures on assigned CNC machine.
•    Perform machining operations from drawings and written work instructions.
•    Utilize basic mathematical skills to measure and record dimensional items with accuracy and efficiency.
•    Responsible for his / her part quality and utilizes standard and customer measuring equipment to perform dimensional checks.
•    Performs visual inspections of machines parts.
•    Report nonconforming parts to shift lead, supervisor, or engineering.  
•    Maintains machines in operational condition by performing daily preventive maintenance checks of oil levels and coolant concentration, reporting any machine abnormalities to the shift team leader or supervisor. 
•    Maintains a clean and organized work area to 6S standards.
•    Maintains continuity among work shifts through verbal or documented communication for required actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. 
•    Communicates with manufacturing on first piece acceptance and stopping processes due to failing parts.

Other requirements:
•    High school diploma or GED required; CNC operator / machinist diploma or certification preferred. Machine Tool Technology degree a definite plus.
•    0 to 2 years of manufacturing experience operating CNC mills or lathes; prior military experience; or technical certification / degree.

• Must be capable of using more advanced quality measuring tools.
• With minimal supervision can rework / repair out of tolerance specifications.
• Maintains machines in operational condition by performing daily preventive maintenance checks of oil levels and coolant concentration, reporting any machine abnormalities to the shift team leader or supervisor. 
• Maintains a clean and organized work area to 6S standards.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts through verbal or documented communication for required actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. 
• Communicates with manufacturing on first piece acceptance and stopping processes due to failing parts.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager. 
• High school diploma or GED required; CNC operator / machinist diploma or certification. Machine Tool Technology degree a definite plus.
• 4 to 6 years of manufacturing experience operating CNC mills or lathes; prior military experience; or technical certification / degree
• Basic English language skills and the ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructions
• Basic PC skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Ability to professionally communicate and work cooperatively with others
• As required, must be able to pass any Customer required testing/machining specifications pertaining to their parts and standards.
• Skill in following directions both verbal and written and in transferring instructions into action.
• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on a deadline.
• Attention to detail
• Intermediate math skills to include adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, and fractions for the purpose of print reading and tolerance determination. 
• Willingness to learn
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required due to government military contracts.
