PCC Structurals is the world leader in superalloy, aluminum and titanium investment casting.  With applications in jet aircraft engines, airframes, industrial gas turbine (IGT) engines, military armaments, medical prosthesis, and many other industrial markets, we provide a wide portfolio  of high-quality components, some as large as 100 inches (250cm).

PCC Structurals also provides solidification modeling, in-house rapid prototyping (including SLA), digital radiography, hot isostatic pressing, precision machining and protective coating services. We operate 11 manufacturing facilities in the United States and Europe.

Located in Clackamas, Oregon, PCC Small Structures Business Operations (SSBO) specializes in air and Vacuum Investment Cast Components for Aerospace, Energy, and Commercial Applications. Our robust engineering team, in-house prototyping capability, and 197,000 square feet of manufacturing space make it the ideal facility to bring your development program into production.

This position will provide direct support and manage
the Division’s training programs.  The ideal candidate will be
experienced, motivated, hands-on and supportive professional who will guide the
training  from a knowledge, skills, empowerment and organization
development standpoint. This position will work closely with all functions
across Operations to identify needs and opportunities for additional training
and development.  Together with the Operations leaders, Quality leaders
and NDT Responsible Level III’s, the individual will lead the learning
experiences to support employee development.  The individual is
responsible for understanding Operations business needs and making strategic
recommendations to enhance organizational performance and support ongoing
learning across the Division.  This role is suitable for individuals who
thrive in a fast paced, dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Oversee/Supervise a team of direct reports who are directly responsible for Learning and Development Programs across the Division.  
  • Identify both soft skill and functional training needs and develop effective programs to maximize performance.  
  • Work with teams to enhance existing new employee onboarding, training and coaching programs.  
  • Ensure the proper documentation is effectively developed, stored and maintained.  
  • Monitor implementation and effectiveness of development and training initiatives.  
  • Interface and work closely with teams across the Division.  
  • Prepare and lead executive updates on Learning & Development initiatives. 

 

  • A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience managing training programs with visible results. 
  • A minimum 4-5 years managing a team of direct reports. 

 

  • Learning Management System experience.
  • Experience with Articulate 360 or Adobe Captivate along with the working knowledge of the file types of SCORM, AICC or TinCan.
  • Working knowledge of Camtasia video editing software and Adobe Acrobat Pro. 
  • Deep understanding of adult learning concepts and techniques and experience putting these concepts into practice. 
  • Knowledge of the instructional design process. 
  • Demonstrated ability to create learning plans linked to organization goals. 
  • Excellent planning, organization and implementation skills. 
  • Superb verbal and written communication. 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in areas of ambiguity.
