The Douglas facility is located in south central Georgia approximately 65 miles north of the Florida state line. Douglas is centrally located between Macon, GA and Jacksonville, FL; approximately two hours drive from either city. Valdosta, GA is about one hour’s drive away. Golf, tennis, fishing and hunting are popular outdoor activities.
PRODUCTS AND SERVICES: PCC Douglas principally manufactures aircraft and land-based gas turbine engine rotating blades, stationary vanes and engine nozzles for OEM’s and the aftermarket for worldwide customers using the investment casting process.

Assist Workers Compensation Supervisor with injury investigations, return to work programs, and cost reduction.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: [1] ENVIRONMENTAL A. Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws. B. Clean Water Act: Manage local wastewater pretreatment discharge system in accordance with state and local pretreatment permit, and Federal Metal Finishing standards. Conduct weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual sampling. Must obtain and keep current state operating license C. Clean Water Act: Manage Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program as required by the federal National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES). Ensure storm water outfall is free of industrial contaminates, conduct quarterly sampling/monitoring and annual inspections. D. Hazardous Waste: Manage and make efforts to reduce hazardous waste generation within facility. Maintain records, conduct inspections and perform training for hazwaste handlers. Document written program and waste minimization plan and contingency plan. Keep current OSHA Hazmat certification. E. Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasures: Maintain written SPCC program as required by Clean Water Act and Oil Pollution Act. Ensure compliance with oil storage facility. F. Clean Air Act: Maintain and document compliance with Georgia Air Quality permit. Monitor dust collection systems and keep all pollution control equipment in good working order. G. Safe Drinking Water Act: Ensure all drinking water systems are free of industrial cross connections and back flow prevention devices are in good working order. H. Community Right-To-Know: Complete annual Toxic Release Inventory report. Document toxic release reduction measures. I. DOT: Document and manage DOT. hazmat program. Ensure all hazardous materials offered for shipment comply with DOT regulations. Conduct training for all operators involving hazmat shipping duties. Current DOT certification. [2] SAFETY A. Implement and manage safe work programs throughout facility. B. Maintain written Hazard Communication program. Conduct annual training and ensure facility maintains current Material Safety Data Sheets on all hazardous materials. C. Conduct Noise testing throughout facility as required to document hearing protection areas. D. Manage hearing conservation program for facility. Schedule annual hearing exams for employees in hearing conservation program. E. Document and ensure compliance with lock and tag-out policies. Conduct training and follow compliance inspection of LOTO. F. Maintain written programs and ensure compliance with the following OSHA policies for a) Chain Hoists b) Grinding wheels c) Electrical switch boxes d) Respirators e) Fall protection f) Blood Borne Pathogens g) Industrial trucks h) Compressed air i) Ergonomics j) Industrial Hygiene k) Confined Space Entry l) Fire extinguishers m) Emergency Action Planning n) Robot guarding o) Personal Protective Equipment G. Ensure OSHA 300 log is current and accurate. H. Conduct safety compliance audits throughout facility on regular basis. I. Investigate all work place injuries, and coordinate corrective actions.
EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in environmental science or similar curicullum or relevant experience
EXPERIENCE: 2+ years industrial safety experience and college degree or 8+ years experience without a degree.
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
• Experience with a water treatment facility.
• Strong understanding of project management methodology.
• Strong analytical skills, ability to identify and anticipate internal and external customer needs and design/execute quantitative approaches.
