This Track Lead (Functional Lead, Subject Matter Expert) will be responsible for transforming and standardizing business processes of Production Planning and Procurement to the new MRP & MES implementation for the Mason Ti-Pins facility. This role will be part of a team that is responsible for providing subject matter expertise, strong analytics, and process development to optimize and deploy a common MRP & MES strategy. The Lead must have strong written and verbal communication skills, as they will be in constant communication with the core team (other Functional Leads), implementation team, technical consultants and their project leaders.
- Analyze: Understand and document any relevant current processes
- Standardize and Design: Leverage Project Team / Consulting group's experience with lean practices to develop best-in-class processes, establish standards, and integrate with systems design.
- Build: Integrate with the other implementation teams to ensure alignment between processes, systems and data.
- Deploy: Lead process deployment efforts to ensure buy-in from local implementation.
The MRP Functional Lead will be expected to accomplish these results by:
- Engaging with the cross-functional team
- Participating in current state (as-is) process mapping
- Participating in future state (to-be) common process development
- Identifying data requirements and gaps
- Understanding current metrics and defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Coordinating quality assurance reviews
- Testing and deploying new processes
- Contributing to the development of a process architecture
- Adhering to project timelines and budgets
- Working daily with internal IT / Consultants to provide direction on work to be done, consult on the best solution and be a liaison between IT and end-users.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 7 + years of relevant supply chain experience – must include all aspects of purchasing; preferably in manufacturing setting
- BA/BS in supply chain, business, or related field preferred (degree may be waived with additional experience)
- 7 + years relevant MRP functional lead experience – demonstrated experience leading research, problem resolution, process documentation, module and system implementation; as well as developing and providing MRP training. Syteline experience preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of Advanced Planning Systems used for the planning of production
- Experience and knowledge of an Item Master and its linkages to Planning Parameters with the MRP & MES system.
- Experience and knowledge of the key components of a compliant Procurement process/system.
- Strong understanding of shop order process for efficient routing of all manufacturing operations within the production process.
- Experience in collecting data and compiling reports on schedule compliance, routing, capacity constraints and production problems
- Experience in implementing process improvement initiatives to reduce WIP, inventory, and increase efficiency of all work centers within the manufacturing process
- Experience in monitoring delivery dates of raw materials, and other components to ensure receipt of all materials needed to complete shop orders
- Experience in interfacing with customer service and sales team to ensure the master schedule meets promised delivery dates to the customers and how the MRP system tools and processes support that (i.e. SIOP)
- Ability to present information to individuals or groups; ability to deliver presentations that convey information clearly and concisely to groups or individuals either verbally or in writing to ensure that they understand the information and the message.

Education
