POSITION SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst will work directly with the Senior Financial Analyst and Assistant Division Controller related to the company’s consolidations, internal reporting and “external” (to PCC) reporting functions, including various levels of financial analysis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assists with monthly/quarterly internal close process via SAP and FCC transactions, and submission of data to PCC via Oracle/FCC, including posting of journal entries.
  • Lead person for all transactional data related to divisional inter/intra activity.
  • Assists in management and analysis of recurring contracts to Divisional IT activity.
  • Performs monthly analysis of Division capital spending. 
  • Performs quarterly flux analyses of Division balance sheet and income statement.
  • Performs monthly analysis of divisional spending.
  • Identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly.
  • Performs account reconciliations for key and non key accounts, while helping to maintain and serve as power user of ARCS reconciliation tool.
  • Assists with Division SOX testing.
  • Assists FP&A with reporting and analysis of weekly cash flow, inventory reporting, sales reporting, and various other items, as required.
  • Coordinates with all levels of TIMET personnel to gather, analyze, and summarize requested information..
  • Conducts special studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action.
  • Interprets and applies PCC and other applicable policies.

COMPETENCIES

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of financial management experience within a manufacturing environment.  They will be a self-starter that can work autonomously, with exceptional time management skills to complete significant tasks and projects in a timely manner. They will thrive in a multi-faceted position, be analytical, action-oriented, team player, confident and respectful, and comfortable around top management.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3 years of Accounting/Finance experience
  • BS/BA Accounting or Finance
  • CPA preferred

SPECIAL SKILLS

  • Planning and organization skills – an ability to plan and manage multiple projects.
  • Analytical and detail oriented.
  • Technical skills in financial analysis.
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work effectively
  • Ability to communicate effectively via all methods (in person, email, telephone, etc.)
  • Computer proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Oracle Cloud / HFM and SAP knowledge a plus

ADDITIONAL NOTES

  • Required travel up to 10% of the time.
