2024 Spring Semester Metallurgist Co-Op openings (paid, with housing stipend)- Searching for Metallurgy and Material Science students for our plant in Toronto, Ohio 


*A minimum of a 3-month assignment. Part-time employment (20+hrs/week) for 6-months also qualifies


Metallurgist Co-Op Summary:

The Metallurgist Co-Op will assist the Metallurgy departments in projects, tasks, etc. to accomplish the goals and responsibilities of the department. 

Essential Functions:

Provide technical support, including technical writing, for manufacturing as needed.

Candidate will have some statistics background – SPC desirable (Minitab a plus)

Reviewing process routings and comparing temperatures, times and routes to customers Fixed Practice Agreement.

Looking at First Time Pass and Lab failures to find trends and plot using Excel or Minitab

Reviewing Standard Operating Procedures and verifying they are in compliance with the AS9100 Rev. D standard and meet any other regulatory standards.

Assist in Customer Complaint investigations

Provide assistance for the Toronto Lab Production/Operational needs

Scanning Electron Microscope, etching Titanium samples, cutting Titanium samples, analyze & reviewing samples, taking macro photos, and other assigned duties.

Enrolled and completed 2+ years at an accredited university in a Metallurgy and/or Material Science discipline.
